PURPOSE:To presume a high-resolution long-wevelength band picture from return beam vidicon picture data, by presuming a recognizable ground body in an observation picture obtained by a narrow-band observation equipment, from the received signal from another broad-band observation equipment. CONSTITUTION:Multispectral scanner MSS classifying means 4 performs typical classification by ground coatings by using earth resorce investigating satellite picture 1 and auxiliary information 3 and gives respecive pictures numbers of classification categories. To make classification results of MSS correspond to return beam vidicon RBV picture 2, positioning means 6 deforms the RBV picture so that RBV picture 2 will overlap with MSS picture 1. Next, RBV classification data generating means 7 compares the MSS classification results overlapped by positioning means 6 with RBV picture 2 and gives respective picture elements of the RBV picture category numbers which are the classification results. Consequently, an observation picture of a wavelength range where observation is impossible can be presumed with regard to a picture obtained by an observation wavelength band observation equipment. |
