PURPOSE:To determine the restarting point of processing correctly by correcting the contents of program status words with the contents of a linkage length counter when a fault occurs during link processing. CONSTITUTION:Instruction execution part 2, when loading processing that corresponds to instruction VL is completed at timing point T', turns on AND circuit 10 to set the contents of linkage length counter 8 to ''-1''. Consequently, if a fault occurs at timing point T2, instruction address information in program status word register 4 has value ''102'', the contents of counter 8 show value ''1'' and a value set via subtracter 6 is ''101'', so that processing will be restarted at the addition processing of element #0 regarding instruction VA. |
