PURPOSE:A crystalline aluminosilicate that is composed of an aluminosilicate with a specific face interval in the X-ray diffraction pattern of the crystal, thus being used as an adsorbent without pretreatment and as a solid-acid catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A novel crystalline aluminosilicate with following relative intensities at face intervals in Angstrom in the X-ray diffraction pattern: 0-less than 30 at 11.3, 70-less than 100 at 10.0, 10-less than 40 at 5.01, 50-less than 100 at 3.84, 10- less than 40 at 3.75, 0-less than 30 at 3.72 and 0-less than 30 at 3.65 whrer the maximum intensity is at 10.0 or 3.84Angstrom in the face interval. The crystals are obtained by heating in the presence of fluoride ion, when the crystallization of silicon and aluminum compounds is effected in an aqueous solution containing an organic cation and alkali. |
