The framework which can be installed into a roof opening in order to receive dormer windows can be dismantled into box-shaped tubes (16, 17) and connecting shoes (18, 19), with the result that it can be transported through a narrow stairwell. The connecting shoes (18, 19) have a cavity for receiving one end of a box-shaped tube (16, 17) and can be connected to a further box-shaped tube or to a delimitation (13) of the roof opening. <IMAGE>
