<p>The disposable container is for foodstuffs such as ham in particular which can be packed under vacuum and then cooked. It is formed by a strip (1) of semi-stiff suitable material and generally rectangular. A number of transverse fold lines (2) between the opposite lengthwise edges (9) are formed by punching, and are parallel to each other, being intersected by lengthwise grooves (3). The fold lines end at notches formed in the lengthwise edges, while hooked portions (5,6) are formed at the strip ends, engaging together on folding. The shape of the container can be varied by altering the number and positions of the fold lines, while there can be a slot in one end of the strip, engaged by a tongue on the other.</p> |
