The distance holder has a laying up surface (1) and is used to actuate a spray mechanism (3) which forms part of an installation to moisten toilet paper. One end of the distance holder is used to operate the spray mechanism with its other end made into the laying up surface located vertical to the spray axis of the spray jet. The laying up surface has a recess in the centre corresponding to the size of the surface to be moistened which is covered by fine mesh wire netting.
