For transporting dairy produce to retail outlets and within these outlets, transport containers are frequently used which can be moved on wheels. In order to simplify the unloading of the transport containers, they are fitted with a side wall which can be opened. For easier handling, a further side wall which can be opened would be desirable. This was previously impossible since two of the side walls of the transport container are specifically constructed such that the side walls can be pivoted outwards so that the transport containers can be stacked one inside the other in the empty state and stored in a space-saving manner. By means of the transport container according to the invention, this difficulty has been overcome. In this case, one of the pivotable side walls is constructed in such a way that its main part can be opened without the lower wall part which serves as a support element for the transport container thereby being impaired. With the aid of a linked intermediate part, the side wall can be pivoted through 270 DEG into the open position and fixed on the adjacent end wall so that it does not constitute any obstacle at all during the unloading of the transport container. |
