PURPOSE:To obtain a heat roll of excellent characteristics by which more than 70,000 sheets of copies may be obtained by mixing two kinds of curable silicone rubber compounds having predetermined characteristics and adding a predetermined amount of silicone oil thereto. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of (A) an uncured silicone rubber composition of <=120 poise viscosity while not cured, 1.15-1.57 specific gravities, 55-70 hardness and 75-170% elognation after curing and (B) an uncured silicone composition of 400- 2,500 poise while not cured, 1.04-1.25 specific gravities and 30-40 hardness and 180-300% elongation after curing is added with 4-23wt% silicone oil, whereby the composition is prepd. This is cast concentrically cylindrically on the outside circumference of a roll core, whereby the heat roll is produced. Thereby, the heat roll of excellent characteristics by which more than 70,000 sheets of copies is made is obtainable. |
