A plane watch glass (9) made from sapphire is set into a housing middle part (1). An hour wheel (3) is inserted in a depression (10) of the motion (2). A minute arbor (5) extends through the hour wheel. An annular metal layer (15) is vapour-deposited onto the edge region of the underside of the watch glass (9). A disc (13) made from sapphire bears lightly against this metal layer, the said metal layer serving as spacer and bearing. The disc (13) is connected to the minute arbor (5) in a rotationally resistant fashion by means of a retaining ring (14). Metallised onto one side of the disc (13) is a marking (16) for displaying the hours, the thickness of which is less than the thickness of the said metal layer (15). An annular metal layer (17) and, in the centre, a circular metal layer (18) are vapour deposited on the underside of the disc (13). A further annular disc (11) made from sapphire bears lightly against these two metal layers. This further disc carries on its underside a vapour-deposited metal layer (19) via which the further disc is rigidly connected to the hour wheel (3). A marking (20) for displaying the hours is vapour-deposited on one side of this further disc. <IMAGE>
