<p>PURPOSE:To properly operate a tandem-type master cylinder which is used mainly for the two-system hydraulic brake of automobile, by immediately conducting and draining bubbles, which are produced in oil in an oil passage by vibration or the like, into an auxiliary oil reservoir along the oil passage. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary oil reservoir 5 having the first and the second oil chambers 5a, 5b is integrally provided on the top of a cylinder body 2 so that the reservoir 5 is adjacent to one hydraulic chamber 4' of the cylinder body 2. A supply hole 11' and an escape hole 10' for the hydraulic chamber 4' are opened into the second oil chamber 5b. The first oil chamber 5a is connected to the escape hole 10 and supply hole 11 of another hydraulic chamber 4 through an oil passage 13 oblique ly extending up toward the auxiliary oil reservoir 5, so that bubbles produced in oil in the oil passage 13 by vibration, heating or the like can be immediately conducted and drained into the auxiliary oil reservoir 5 along the oblique inside surface of the passage 13. As a result, the bubbles are prevented from being sucked into the hydraulic chambers 4, 4'.</p> |
