<p>PURPOSE:To perform playback, recording, rewinding, etc., with small torque and to perform smooth cue and review operation, by making use of the turning force of a motor that turns a capstan shaft. CONSTITUTION:The turning force of driving gear 13 turning as capstan shaft 12 turns is selectively transmitted to interlocking gear 25 and 30. When interlocking gear 25 or 30 in a stop state is turned, fast forwarding/rewinding lever 69 is slid to turn reel turntables 10 and 11 at a high speed for fast forwarding or rewinding operation. When interlocking gear 25 or 30 in a playback state is turned, on the other hand, coupling lever 66 is disengaged from playback operation lever 54 to release the location of head base 7 at the playback position and also engaged with coupling lever 66 with operating pieces 70 and 71, provided to fast forwarding/ rewinding lever 54 to hold head base 7 at the playback position or slightly behind it. Then, while magnetic head 4 is in contact with a magnetic tape, reel turntables 10 and 11 are turned at a high speed for cue and review operation.</p> |
