PURPOSE:To prevent the toner from scattering during its replenishment by providing a sealing member at the edge of a replenishing port, and enclosing and closely adhering the side part of a cartridge by means of the sealing member when the port part of the cartridge is faced downward for the purpose of replenishing the toner. CONSTITUTION:A toner replenishing port 8a is formed to the upper part of a toner tank, and a cartridge holder 22 is mounted turnably to a supporting shaft 21 in the lower part thereof. Additionally, a sealing member 24 of felt or foam rubber is provided to the edge of the port 8a. If with this constitution the holder 22 is drawn out and a new cartridge 23 is mounted and is turned upward after opening its mouth upon decreasing of the residual amount of the toner, the sealing member 24 closely adheres the side parts of the cartridge 23 in the state that it encloses said parts, thereby sealing the same. Thereby, the scattering of the toner is prevented in the case of toner replenishment. |
