PURPOSE:To obtain a vertical magnetization type magnetic head that provides multitrack vertical magnetizing recording of high density free from interchannel interference. CONSTITUTION:Recording medium 11 has magnetic surface 11b by coating film base 11a with magnetic powder. Multitrack main magnetic pole 12 made of a thin magnetic film of high magnetic permeability such as permalloy is provided opposing to magnetic surface 11b, notch 13 are made at the tip of the thin magnetic film, and top parts of the thin magnetic film selectioned by notches 13 are equivalent to each recording track width. Auxiliary magnetic pole 14, having a top width equivalent to the recording track width, is wound with coil 15, opposing selectively to the top part of primary magnet 12 from the back of recording medium 11 at a prescribed distance, and brought under movement control in the width direction of recording medium 11. |
