PURPOSE:To efficiently manufacture a wiper blade for the windshield in front of an automobile driver's seat, by extrusion. CONSTITUTION:A wiper blade A, which has a butt portion 1 with projections and recesses 2, 4, 6, 8 of cross-sectional shape coincident with the fitting shape of a wiper body B and has a wiping tip portion 5 which is soft and triangular, is manufactured as a slender piece by extrusion. The round tip 7 of the wiping portion 5 is cut off to provide a flat face. Edges are made on both the ends of the flat face. After that, the slender wiper blade A is cut off a desired length measured from one end. The blade A is inserted except for its wiping portion 5 into the fitting hole 10 of the wiper body B so that the blade A is secured on the wiper body B for use. |
