PURPOSE:To enable to print on two printing positions with one dot head by a method wherein a rotatable device installed with one dot head is made to rotate around a rotations axis and it can be stopped at two printing positions which are not on the same plane. CONSTITUTION:A slip 4 inserted at a printing position is detected through a detection switch 32 and with this detected signal, a head drive device 7 is rotated downward and at the same time, a dot head 5 is made to retreat from a platen side 1. When the device 7 comes to contact with a stopper switch 33, the device 7 is stopped at a printing position on the slip 4 and at the same time, the head 5 is made to contact with the slip form 4. Next thereto, a motor 26 is rotated and this rotation is transferred to a cylindrical groove cam 9 and by means of a slider 11 coupled with a groove of the cam 9, a carrier 10 is moved along guide shafts 8a, 8b. Thereby, a printing signal is selectively applied to the head 5 to form a letter on the form 4. |
