Thermosetting liquid coating compositions, based on polymer capable of being crosslinked with nitrogen resin crosslinkers, nitrogen resin crosslinker, and blocked acid catalyst prepared from materials containing at least one oxirane functionality and a sulfonic acid, are provided. The preferred polymer is a blend of polyesters having the formulae: and and isomers thereof, wherein n=1-10 and m=2-12. The novel thermosetting coating compositions are particularly useful is electrostatic spraying applications as general industrial coa? ?s in the appliance industry.
