<p>The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of certain known imidazo 2,1-a! isoindoles of the general formula I: wherein X represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom or a lower alkoxy group. The said isoindoles, which may be prepared from novel lactams, have been shown to have utility as psychic energizers and anorectics.</p> |
