PURPOSE:To improve resolution by making a fluorescent screen consist of two fluorescent bodies and arranging an electron gun for each fluorescent body. CONSTITUTION:The electron beam irradiated from two electron guns 11 and 12 is focussed by the transparent hole 25 of a shadow mask 20. The fluorescent screen 30 with two fluorescent bodies, the shadow mask 20, and two electron guns 11 and 12 are arranged so as to irradiate the respective two red and green fluorescent dots 31 and 32 on the fluorescent screen 30. A number of paired two types of fluorescent dots 31 and 32 are regularly arranged on the surface of the fluorescent screen 30 and the transparent hole 25 of the shadow mask 20 is set so as to be positioned at the center of each paired of fluorescent dots. |
