摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To control the extent of knocking effectively as controlling a lowering range of torque to be small enough by installing a normal time controlling device, controlling a valve timing variable device and an ignition timing regulating device, and a knock controlling device. CONSTITUTION:On-off timing 12 and ignition timing 31 of an intake valve are regulated by actuating control of a normal time controlling device. There is provided with a knock detecting device 36 which detects a time of knocking occurrence. At the time of the knocking occurrence, it is selected to valve on-off timing at a high speed area in preference to the normal time controlling device 75 even at the time of low speed, while there is provided with a knock controlling device 76, controlling the valve timing variable device 12 and the ignition timing regulating device 31, so as to be regulated to the ignition timing conformed to the valve on-off timing at this high speed area. Thus, knocking is effectively controllable while controlling a lowering range of torque to be small.</p>
