PURPOSE:To automate the feed and discharge of the plug to and from the automatic interchanger for the plug of pipe forming machine, by combining a special working floor, the plug feeder and discharger, the discharging cover, the lifter, the manipulator, etc., with the rotary drum of the above-mentioned plug interchanger. CONSTITUTION:The manipulator 5 is handled to operate the device 8 to grab the new plug 9 laid on the pallet 6 carried into the working floor 4 installed in a level almost equal to that of the rotary drum 1. Next, the plug 9 is transferred to a position Pos 1 in the chutelike plug feeder 2 inclining toward the drum 1 provided with plural inclinable stoppers 11. When the stopper 11 inclines, the plug 9 successively moves from Pos 2 to Pos 4 and is automatically put in the feeder B. Onthe other hand, when the used plug 9' comes to the discharging position Pos 11 of the drum 1, the arm 4 is opened to drop the plug 9' into the plug discharger 3, and hereby, the plug 9' rolls down and is stopped by the discharging cover 16. Next, the cover 16 inclines, the plug 9' rides on the lifter 10, is pushed up to the floor 4 surface, is transferred onto the pallet 7 by the device 8, and is discharged. |
