PURPOSE:To speed up AM, PM, VSB modulation facsimile of low cost, by using entirely the same technology as conventional digital MODEM for flags themselves, and transmitting a plurality of main scanning flags at a bundle. CONSTITUTION:One video information line is sectioned every 8-dot, e.g., into 128 sections. The sections are summed for 8-line's share and 8X8-dot is taken as one cell (21). If no effective information is present in this cell, one cell is represented with the flag ''0'' and no video information is transmitted. If any effective information is present, ''1'' is set, and if the effective information of one row 8-dot is present, ''1'' is also set and the flag whether the effective one row 8-dot is present or not is transmitted. In this case, in the first main scanning, even if any black one dot is present in 8-dot, ''1'' is set and if all white, then ''0'' is set. If the next main scanning is the same as the preceding line, ''0'' is set and if any difference, ''1'' is set to constitute the flag series (23). Further, the 8-dot train present in the flag ''1'' is consecutively transmitted for 8-line's share with AM, PM, VSB at a bundle for the content of information. |
