PURPOSE:To print or not to print the discriminating information in accordance with a request of the receiving destination, by transmitting the discriminating information of N line portion, and subsequently transmitting the transmitting information of original length L as the transmitting information of L-N length. CONSTITUTION:The control circuit 3 decides whether the discriminating information generating circuit 5 should be operated or not, by the telephone number of the destination, which has been detected, and in case when the circuit 5 is operated, the discrimination format is selected from among the formats which have been set in advance. These formats which have been set in advance are added before the original information and are transmitted in the compounding circuit 1. In this way, in case the discriminating information of length N is added to the original information of original length L, it is required to transmit the original by compressing its length to L-N. Therefore, when the step-feed of the subscanning motor is controlled by the motor control circuit 6 and the original information is transmitted by compressing it in the subscanning direction, the receiving side is able to receive it as the information of the sum total L. |
