PURPOSE:To enhance the shelf stability of a photosensitive material and the light resistance and stability of a color image by adding a specified magenta coupler, a specified 1-phenyl-3-pyrzolidone deriv. and a specified hydroquinone deriv. to attain higher coloring sensitivity and lower fog. CONSTITUTION:To an emulsion layer or its adjacent layer are added a 5-pyrazolone type two-equivalent coupler represented by formula I (where R1 is anilino, acylamino or ureido, R2 is aralkyl, alkyl or alkenyl, and each of X1-X3 is H, alkyl, halogen, alkoxy, aryloxy, acylamino, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, sulfonyl or CN), a hydroquinone deriv. represented by formula II [where R is 8-30C (substituted) alkyl, (substituted) aryl, alkoxy or the like and n is 1-4] and a 1-phenyl-3-pyrazolidone deriv. represented by formula III [where R3 is (substituted) aryl, the substituent includes halogen and alkyl or the like, each of R4-R7 is H, alkyl or the like]. Thus, a color image of high density is obtd. with a little silver. |
