PURPOSE:To obtain a plate of high printing resistance capable of forming a sharp image of high precision, by forming a thermoplastic resin layer low in compatibility and miscibility with a fluorine containing specified resin between a support and a layer of said fluorine containing resin, forming a toner image, and fixing this image. CONSTITUTION:The uppermost layer is made of a fluorinated resin, containing 40wt% perfluoroalkyl groups, of a homopolymer of a monomer or a copolymer of a nonfluorinated monomer and said monomer represented by formula I in which Rf is a straight chain or branched chain 3-18C perfluoroalkyl; R is H, CH3, C2H5, or C3H7; Q is formula II, R<1> being OH, CH3COO-(CH2)n, (n) being 2, 3, formula III or IV, R<2> being CH3, C2H5, or C3H7. A thermoplastic resin, such as polyamide having a melt viscosity >=10 times as high as that of said fluorinated resin and a >=10 solubility parameter is provided between this layer and a support, such as high quality paper. After the thermoplastic resin has been coatd on the support, the fluorinated resin is coated on it, the resins are heat treated at a temperature near the toner fixing temperature, and thus, a lithographic plate material requiring no dampening water is obtained. |
