The anchor shank (1) is hinged to the crown (3) by a pin (2). The flukes are attached to the crown by bolts (5) passing through slots (8, 12) in the flukes so that the flukes have lateral movement across the crown. The lower edge of each fluke has two slots close to each other, and the crown has two pins (9, 10) engaging the slots. The flukes can be stowed inwards along-side the shank. The shank is grooved at the sides to accept the inner edge (7) of the flukes.
