The motor power consumption is between 15 and 100 Watts and at any one time four of the eight rotor windings are energised. Each winding experiences a variation of potential from zero to maximum during the rotor operation. Rapid starting is achieved at 100 Watts, and operation at 15 Watts requires a 45 Watt initial condition. The motor operation is based on the stator pole field entering the adjacent rotor pole generating a high field in the neighbouring rotor via the first poles 450 turn winding. Since the inducing stator pole, adjacent and neighbouring poles, have the same polarity then repulsion is experienced between the adjacent stator and rotor poles.
