PURPOSE:To increase a quantitative constancy of the powder an keep and uniformity of the product by a method wherein the powder in a powder feeding cup is unified by a rotating vane and is sent into a die while the powder at the upper side of the die is leveled by the vane, in the powder feeder for a powder molding press. CONSTITUTION:The cup 29, into which the powder is fed from a hopper 21 through a trough 23 or the like, consists of a double cylindrical structure. A cross- shaped arm 35 is fixed to a rotary shaft 33 at the center thereof and rotating vanes 37 are secured to respective tip ends of the arm 35 directed downwardly near the bottom plate of the outer cylinder of the cup 29 keeping a predetermined clearance 1 between the bottom plate. Now, when a predetermined quantity of the powder is thrown into the cup 29 and the internal cavity of the die 20 is aligned with the filling port 31 of the cup 29, the powder is flowed into the cavity of the die 20 to fill it up. In this case, the powder themselves are pushed by each other in accordance with the rotation of the rotary vane 37 and the density thereof is made uniform. Furthermore, the powder at the upper surfac of the die is leveled, therefore, the amount of the powder is made constant and the products having the uniform property may be obtained. |
