The dryer consists of a casing which houses an endless belt (6C) running between two pulleys (6a,6b). The belt carries perpendicular sets of vanes (7). Each set of vanes is made up of parallel paddles in the same plane. The lower half of the casing is occupied by a heat exchanger (5) with connections (5a,5b). The heat exchanger has parallel loops between the vanes. The wet material is admitted (9) and delivered (10). Fans (3) draw the moisture away.
