<p>Thermal insulation of buildings comprises injecting a mixt. of polyols and isocyanates into gaps between insulating panels, foundations, woodwork and walls, and allowing the material to expand into a cellular foam which adheres strongly to the surfaces with which it is in contact, thus providing a continuous sealed insulating cocoon. The system can be used for insulating domestic and industrial buildings, stores, etc. The foam bonds to the building components and eliminates thermal bridging caused by conventional fixing devices or adhesives, thus reducing heat losses and transmission of dampness.</p> |
