From Danish patent No. 126.744 there is known a plug for a multiwire cable, comprising two parts for grasping of a cable and a prism-shaped tension relief piece secured by the parts, which comprises two perpendicular portions of identical size, placed one after the other and reversible to produce an angular plug or a straight plug, as desired, and where the tension relief piece's portions are joined to each other by means of parts which partially protrude from the portions, and which are shaped as flat prisms with right-angle triangles as the base surfaces and prismatic sides, which is designed to engage with one of the parts 21' along the margins of a recess 22 and to engage with the other part. The authorities require that the tension relief piece be secured to the part 21' with a recess 22, for example, by means of a string or chain, which involves a more costly production. The invention specifies tongues 23' which protrude into the opening of the recess 22, and which interact with a corresponding cavity or a cut-out on the tension relief piece 11'. The tension relief piece and the part 21' can then form a snap connection with each other both in the position which produces an angular plug and the position which produces a straight plug, without the use of the aforesaid securing chain or string. <IMAGE>
