The diaphragm pump is intended for injecting a cement or plastic sealing mixture or the like, such as may be used in mining operations or for ground stabilisation. The diaphragm is formed by a rubber, or similar, hose (12) forming an annular chamber (41) between itself and a tubular housing (1,2,4,16), in which it is a contained between two end couplings (10,18). One coupling (18) is axially movable against a spring (30). The inside of the hose is intermittently connected to a pressure source, whilst the annular chamber has an inlet (31) and an outlet connection (32) for the medium to be pumped. The movable end coupling (18) is provided with a control mechanism (37,38) for the intermittent pressure supply.
