PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of resolution to the number of picture elements by using color filters through which green light is passed from the entire filter surface. CONSTITUTION:Filter 501 consisting of W filter 505 through which all lights is passed and Ye filter 506 through which yellow light is passed, filter 502 of G filter 507 of through which green filter is passed through an Cy filter 508 through which cyan light is passed, filter 503 of W filter 505 and Cy filter 508, and filter 504 of G filter 507 and Ye filter 506 are arranged as color filters. Filters 501-504 are arranged on picture elements of respective solid-state image pickup elements; filters 501 and 502 are alternated on the 1st horizontal scanning line, and filters 503 and 504 on the 2nd line. Consequently, a signal obtained by the 1st horizontal scan has only a red signal modulated and that by the 2nd horizontal scan has only a blue signal modulated. Consequently, detection is carried out at a half sampling frequency to obtain the red signal and blue signal successively. |
