<p>A sliding carriage, connected to the window, moves along a fixed guide-rail. A continuous serrated belt is held in firm connection with it, in a section held close to the rail by deflectors. It is used in a setting mechanism for a sliding window, esp. on motor vehicles. In both end sections the guide-rail (8) has deflecting devices (11,12,18) fitted to it, such as rollers, or roller and deflecting strip. One roller may be serrated, to engage the belt (10), while a belt section (16) connected to the sliding carriage (9) and an open section (17) between rollers are held taut. This is compact, and easily built into a vehicle door.</p> |
