PURPOSE:To discharge the melt remained in a hole by inertia and improve piercing efficiency by moving the work irradiated by a laser beam from below, quickly upward. CONSTITUTION:The focused beam 7 of a pulselike laser beam is irradiated to the surface of the work 6 from below. Then, the work 6 melts and evaporates and piercing progresses. At this time, the work 6 is hammered 8 upward to allow the melt to discharge fully to the outside of the hole. The similar effect is also obtainable even by utilizing a spring 9 or electromagnet 10 other than the hammer 8. |
