The wind-driven rotor comprises a vertical shaft with a cage, on which a number of swivel blades (1-6) are arranged on vertical pivots. Each pivot shaft is provided with a disc (7-12), carrying an eccentric pivoted slide shoe (13-18) which engages a cam track (e1,2) in a disc (c) eccentrically positioned relative to the rotor axis. The arrangement is such that the blade area presented to the wind by the blades moving down-wind is maximised and that moving upwind minimised. The disc may carry fixed vanes to correctly position it relative to the wind direction.
