A loom for weaving terry fabric uses a fluid-jet weft insertion system, pref. air-jets, comprising a primary insertion jet at one side of the loom, with auxiliary jets at intervals across the width of the loom which move in and out of the shed in phase with the shedding and beating-up motions. With this arrangement the higher speed and productivity of fluid-jet weft-insertion systems can be achieved on terry-fabric looms.
|
