PURPOSE:To reduce the hardware for sending a fault information message, by sending out data in a specific pattern by detecting the incoming of a communication circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a call is made by a terminal equipment while change-over switches 23-26 added to MODEM are placed as shown in the figure, call display is provided via display line 22. Then, transmission holding circuit 13 operates to place MODEM in a transmission state for a certain time and actuates code pattern generator 14. The output of code pattern generator 14 is supplied from switch 23 to modulator 10 and specific pattern data is sent out to transmission line 15. Consequently, there is no need to provide a code transmitter to every circuit and the hardware can be reduced. |
