PURPOSE:To shorten the time of transmission by storing the address of a local station at a main station side when the local station runs into trouble and then by transmitting and receiving data by skipping over the address of the local station. CONSTITUTION:At main station 1, transmission timing circuit 2 monitors the time from the transmission of output read signal (a) to the return of read and signal (b) from local station 10 and, when no sent-back signal arrives within a certain time, considers that the station with the address is in trouble and sends out fault discrimination signal (f), which is stored in fault memory 5. Then after the address of the said station is set in address counter 3, the contents of the said memory are read and if a fault is found, fault signal output (g) is supplied via OR circuit 16 to AD counter 3 as a count-up signal (m) to make the counter count up. Consequently, the address of the fault local station is skipped over from this point in time. |
