PURPOSE:To lower the price of the whole device by simplifying a program for editing, by storing a picture signal in a memory unit as if the horizontal axis of an original agreed with the scanning line. CONSTITUTION:In guide paper 104 appended to transmitted original 102, pattern 105 for reading more than one coordinate position on which the calculation of the inclination of the original and a required rectangular area is based is previously entered. Processing circuit 206 scans black rectangular pattern 105 first successively from the top and calculates and stores coordinates P(x1,Y1) and Q(x2,y2) of points P and Q in memory unit 207. Next, size y1-y2 is calculated and when the inclination of the original is less than a prescribed value, coordinates A(x3,y3) of point A are calculated to input a scanning signal to memory unit 207 from the point. On the other hand, coordinates B(x4,y4) of point B are calculated and at this point B, input operation to device 207 is stopped. Next, this processing is repeated for every scanning line successively. The signal of point A is stored in the reference address of device 207, the 1st address of the next scanning line is increased by ''100'' in hexadecimal notation, and according to size y1-y2, the address is increased or decreased. |
