PURPOSE:To form a uniform and stable insulating film easily and economically, by forming the oxide film dependent upon the conductor itself on the surface of the conductor in the thin film magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic disc 4 has recording medium 5 on the surface and moves in the arrow 6 direction. The magnetic flux is flowed to the magnetic head in the arrow 7 direction, and information recorded on recording medium 5 is read. For forming this magnetic thin film 2, conductor film 12 of the second layer is superposed to oxide film 13 after the surface of conductor film 11 of the first layer is oxidized by the anodic oxidation method or the gas diffusion method to form oxide film 13. Thus, insulating film 13 can be formed easily, and uniform and stable insulation can be obtained. |
