This invention concerns a compartment for timber-sorting plants, the base and also sides of which are formed of an arched support suspended in a scaffold, which support could be for example in the form of a belt, which for emptying of the compartment is detachable at one of its ends, and for forming a new compartment can be reeled. One of the problems with this type of timber compartment lies in the fixing of the support's free end, which in the case of methods already in use for said compartments hampers the rapid and correct re-forming of the compartment. In order to solve this problem, this invention proposes that the support belt, in its rolled- up state, is prepared for attachment by a fastening mechanism designed for fastening the belt support, and that this fastening mechanism is made up of movable devices for locking up the support belt after it has been prepared for fixing by the fastening mechanism, and for forming a fastening for the support belt's free end fitted or prepared by a fixing device. <IMAGE> |
