PURPOSE:To easily take a measurement in the connecting point, by providing the first coupler for inputting an optical signal of the light emitting element, the second coupler for receiving the optical signal and generating an electric signal, and the processing part for processing the measurement of the optical fiber connection loss. CONSTITUTION:The couplers 14, 15 have the light emitting element 17 and the photo detecting element 18 as a part, respectively. The coupler 14 provided with the light emitting element and the coupler 15 provided with the photo detecting element are coupled with the optical fibers 11, 12 on both sides, respectively, placing the connecting point 13 between them, and when a light beam is emitted from the porcessing unit 16 by providing an electrical input suitable for the light emitting element, the generated light beam is shifted to the optical fiber 11 through the coupling part 19 from the coupler 14, and shifted to the coupler 15 from the optical fiber 12 through the connecting part 13, and it is led into the processing part 16. In the processing part 16, since the connection loss in the connection processing part 13 can be calculated from the electrical input provided to the light emitting element and the electrical output optained from the photo detecting element, the measurement can be made easily. |
