PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material with excellent, travelling ability in an output device, heat sensitivity and pressure color formation, by incorporating a higher straight-chain glycol and an N-substituted acid amide in a heat- sensitive color-forming layer which includes a leuco dye and an acid substance. CONSTITUTION:By crushing and dispersing a colorless or light-colored leuco dye with the solution of PVA, etc., liquid A is obtained. By crushing and dispersing an acid substance which causes said dye to form colors when heated, a higher straight- chain glycol of formula I (wherein R is C10-30 alkyl), and an N-substituted acid amide of formula II (wherein R1 is C10-30; R2 is alkyl C1-6 alkyl) with the solution of PVA, etc., liquid B is obtained. By mixing liquids A and B of, for example, the same weight to prepare a heat-sensitive color-forming layer solution and applying it on a supporting material such as paper, plastics, metal deposited paper, etc., a purpose heat-sensitive recording material is obtained. As the leuco dye, 3,3-bis (p- dimethylaminophenyl)-phthalide, etc., and as the acid substance, bisphenol A, etc., can be mentioned, respectively. |
