PURPOSE:To obtain the titled band, which is light in weight soft, generating no longitudinal crack and strong in strength, by performing secondary foaming and two-staged extension under a specific condition after foaming-extruding the foaming synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, foaming synthetic resin is expanded by 2-3 times and extruded from the metal mold 11 of an extruder 1 in the form of rod. Next, a foamed and extruded original roll 2 is led in a cooling chamber 3 for quenching, made to pass between the press rolls 4, 4 to be flat-shaped. Further the original roll 2 is led into a heating apparatus 5 to heat it up to under the melting point of the original roll 2 and the original roll, which has generated secondary foaming through heating, is made to pass between the extension rolls 6, 6 to be again flat-shaped and simultaneously extended by 2-3 times lengthwise. Then the original roll 2 is led into a heating apparatus 7 and the original roll 2 is heated up to under the melting point, is made to pass the elongation rolls 8, 8 for elongating the original roll 2 lengthwise by 8-9 times to be taken up by a winder. |
