<p>PURPOSE:To provide an age-hardening flute material consisting of a predetermined percentage each of Ag, Pd, Au, Pt, Cu and Zn and having >=Hv 250 high hardness contributing to a fine tone quality, relatively low specific gravity and superior workability. CONSTITUTION:This age-hardening flute material consists of 25-35w/o Ag, 30- 40w/o Pd, 5'15w/o Au, 5'15w/o Pt, 10-20w/o Cu and 0.5-2w/o Zn. It has specific gravity lower than that of 14-karat or 18-karat gold, superior workability and hardness higher than that of Ag-7.5w/o Cu or Ag-10w/o Cu. By coating the outer surface of a pipe made of this material with an Au layer, the corrosion resistance is enhanced, and a gold color can be given.</p> |
