Rotary lawn-mower with centrifugal fan - has extended volute chamber to direct grass cuttings into grass box

The rotary oower driven lawn mower has two diametrically opposite blades (5) mounted on a rotating arm (4). This rotating arm acts like a fan and blows the grass cuttings into the grass box (10). This effect is assisted by a centrifugal fan (6) mounted on the same axis as the arm. The volute casing (8) of the fan is extended to form a spout (15) with its outlet (16) near to the entrance to the grass box. The air issuing from the outlet assists in concentrating the flow of air and grass cuttings in the direction of the grass box. This concentration of the flow is due to the fact that the air flowing from the centrifugal fan is kept separate from the flow from the blades until both flows reach the entrance to the grass box.
