The fluid pressure brake cylinder has a spring and pistons. It is for a parking hand or safety brake of a motor vehicle. It is held in the unlocked position by fluid pressure against the spring. There are two pistons, one fluid, and the other spring operated. The spring piston can transmit all or part of the effort by a transmission surface on it. This acts on a receiver, which can be recalled to a stopfixed to the cylinder. Independent of the piston position axially, the receiver can move to any required position for the braking action necessary.
