摘要 <p>The demountable connector completes two or more hydraulic circuits, and is handled by remote-controlled pincers in a submarine. It comprises a rectangular section male element (2) which enters a female element (1) of the reciprocal open ended (1a) box section, the two hydraulic lines entering the trailing end (2g) and leaving the top face (1c) of the respective components. The male element has a chamfered nose (2a) and has a definite vertical play (V) with the female element and uses bottom face jacks (13) to take up the slack. Jacks effectively raise the male element to complete two separate sealed passageways through the assembled unit, being closure sprung (16) with a conical feed enlargement (2m). The female element may include a lever actuated slide-valve (18) which authorises through flow.</p>
