PURPOSE:To provide an org. carboxylic acid temper rolling lubricant which has excellent rust-preventing properties, washing properties, friction coefficient characteristics, etc. and is not transferred on rollers during rolling, consisting of a specified mixed soap derived from a dibasic acid, a carboxylic acid, an alkali and an amine. CONSTITUTION:2-15wt% of an aliph. dibasic acid (A) having 2-10C hydrocarbon gp. (e.g. succinic acid), 1-10wt% of an aliph. monocarboxylic acid (B) having 5-12C hydrocarbon gp. (e.g. caproic acid), 0.5-5wt% of an inorg. alkali (C) (e.g. caustic soda) and 5-30wt% of prim alkanolamine (D) (e.g. monoethanolamine) are reacted together in water to obtain a mixed soap. A temper rolling lubricant is prepd. by using the above mixed soap as the component of the lurbicant. Further, 3-20wt% of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid (e.g. sodium gluconate) may be blended together with the mixed soap. |
