Halovincaminic acid and haloapovincaminic acid ester derivatives of the formulae <IMAGE> and <IMAGE> in which R<1> and R<2> denote alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms, and X denotes halogen, are prepared in accordance with the processes defined in the patent claims.
